Bio of Mr. Cardenas

John-Pierre Cardenas is the Manager of Individual and Small Group Marketplace Programs at the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. He specializes in the Affordable Care Act’s insurance market reforms, health insurance / financing policy, and health policy development. He is a graduate of the Master of Science in Public Health (concentration Health Policy, c/o 2014) program from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Jason Torrico was born and raised in Queens, NY. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where he served two four-year tours. He received the Combat Action Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He founded an IT and business consulting firm in 2004, and in 2009 was named one of Cambridge’s Who’s Who.
